A PTI van has just dropped off this NS crew, they will board 17A and take it 3 miles west to NS's Harris Yard where the train will be tied down in preperation for NS's Christmas shutdown later that afternoon. Trailing is one of NS's Tier 4 GE's, built in early 2016.

NS 4001 leads a westbound baretable train
Description:
First time catching one of the "Sonicbonnets"! This locomotive was originally built as a NS 8879, a Standard Cdb Dash9, in the mid-1990's. In 2015 GE rebuilt this locomotive with a new widecab and converted it to AC traction.
