Description:
Delaware Lackawanna & Western Railroad ( Erie Lackawanna by this photo date ) MU coach 2539 at Newark, New Jersey on an unknowen day in June 1965, Koadachrome by unknown photographer, Chuck Zeiler collection. Between 1929–1930 Pullman and General Electric constructed 141 new electric multiple units for the suburban service. These were numbered 2500–2640. Each car could seat 84 passengers. They were paired with 141 trailer coaches and operated until 1984.
